Privacy Policy — Be the Butterfly

Be the Butterfly (the “App”) is published by CoraLG, Inc.

The short version

Everything you write in Be the Butterfly stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your information. We cannot read your reflections — no one can but you.

What the App stores, and where

The App stores your quiz answers and results, your written reflections, your meditation notes and ratings, your voice notes and their transcriptions, and your exported reports only on your device. This information is included in your device’s normal iCloud or computer backup (controlled by your device settings, not by us), and it is deleted when you delete the App.

What we collect

Nothing. The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits. It makes no network connections to send your data anywhere.

Microphone & voice notes

If you choose to speak a reflection, the App asks your permission first and records only when you start a recording — never in the background. Voice notes are transcribed on your device using Apple’s on-device speech recognition — your voice is never sent anywhere, not to us and not to any server. Recordings and transcriptions stay on your device, you can delete them at any time, and you can withdraw microphone or speech-recognition permission whenever you wish in your device Settings.

Sharing your reports

When you choose to share an exported report or result card (for example by email, Messages, AirDrop, social media, or printing), that sharing happens through your device’s own sharing features, under your control. Where you send it is up to you.

Apple

Standard app-store mechanics (downloading the App, TestFlight participation, crash reports if you have opted in with Apple) are governed by Apple’s own privacy policy, not ours. We receive no personal information from them beyond anonymous, aggregate statistics.

Children

The App is a reflective journaling tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Not medical care

The App is a self-reflection and personal-growth tool. It does not provide medical or psychiatric diagnosis or treatment, and its content is not a substitute for professional care.

Changes

If a future version of the App ever changes these practices (for example, adding optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated first, and any new data practice will be opt-in and explained in plain language.
